About This Event
Yitpi Yartapuultiku is a unique Aboriginal Cultural Centre located on the banks of the Port River in Port Adelaide, South Australia. It celebrates the rich Kaurna heritage and culture of the region through immersive learning experiences, art exhibitions, guided tours, nature play spaces, and community services. The centre is designed in collaboration with Kaurna Custodians and integrates cultural narratives and practices into its architecture and landscape, making it a culturally authentic space for both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal visitors to connect, learn, and experience. It also features a large-scale living shoreline, which is South Australia's first, combining ecological restoration with cultural significance. Opened in June 2025 during National Reconciliation Week, Yitpi
